A fire in an RV, reported Jan. 25 in Aberdeen, caused $100,000 in damage; investigators suspect arson.
Around 2:25 a.m. Jan. 25, someone passing The Auto Store in the 1200 block of Old Philadelphia Boulevard noticed flames inside a 2001 Allegro recreational vehicle, according to deputy state fire marshals.
Ten Aberdeen firefighters controlled the flames within 10 minutes, but not before the blaze caused about $100,000 in damage to John M. Breeden’s RV, according to fire officials.
Investigators believe the fire was set intentionally inside the RV’s passenger compartment.
Aberdeen police officers are assisting in the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the northeast regional office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal, 410-836-4844, or the arson hotline, 1-800-492-7529.
