National lacrosse event coming to Harford

US Lacrosse is hosting a U-15 National Championship girls lacrosse tournament at Cedar Lane Regional Park, July 6-8.

Teams from all over the country will battle in the three-day tournament for the title of the best U-15 team in the country.

Harford County will be represented in this tournament by a local group of high school players, comprised of players from four high schools: John Carroll, North Harford, C. Milton Wright and Fallston.

The team will also be coached by a group of five women, all of whom have connections to John Carroll.

Members of the staff are Krystin Porcella, John Carroll Varsity Head Coach; Danielle Markette, John Carroll Varsity Assistant Coach; Stephanie Maycheck, John Carroll JV Head Coach; Casey Ancarrow, James Madison University collegiate player and JC graduate ‘08; and Anne Brockmeyer, Yale University collegiate player and JC graduate ‘08.

Team members from John Carroll are Mackenzie Reese, Caroline Sdanowich, Katherin Langrher, Erica Bodt, Leah Pace, Carlee Ries, Colleen Zulty, Mackenzie Rayburn, Mackenzie Bailey, Caroline Haggerty, Alex DiPeso and Elissa Rehak.

Players from Fallston are Courtney Laubach, Jenna Mosketti and Christina Wright, while CMW players are Abby Smucker, Katie Gallagher and Kaitlyn Moynihan.

Laura Psaros is the lone North Harford player.
