The John Carroll Patriots saw their four-game winning streak snapped Friday night with a 34-15 loss to MIAA B Conference foe Boys’ Latin.

The Patriots fell behind 7-0 through one quarter and trailed 20-7 at the half. The Lakers added 14 points in the third quarter to blow the game wide open and John Carroll added its final points in the fourth quarter.

Kyle Miele scored the Patriots’ first touchdown on a one-yard run and finished with 28 yards rushing, giving Miele 1,024 yards on the season. Alex Gambrell supplied the extra point.

Tyler Ray scored the Patriots other touchdown on a four-yard run and DJ Owens caught a two-point conversion pass from Brandon Lewis.

Brian Hunt had a total of 106 kickoff return yards, with a long of 65 yards and he also led the team in rushing with 50 yards on six rushes.

The defense was led by Ray with 13 total tackles, while Hunt and Raphael Odouk had 10 tackles each. Ryan Eilerman had eighth tackles.

The Patriots, 4-3 overall, will close out the season at home Friday night against the Archbishop Curley Friars. Game time is 7 p.m.
