Harford County’s request to have three snow days waived has been granted by the state superintendent.

State Superintendent Nancy Grasmick granted the waiver earlier this week, Bill Reinhard, spokesman for the Maryland State Department of Education, said Thursday.

Harford students missed nine days this winter because of the record-breaking snowfalls.

The last day of school for Harford County Public Schools students will be June 15.

Harford’s school system had six inclement weather days built into the school calendar, and students will attend school on those six days.

The students will attend school on March 31 and April 1 and June 10, 11, 14 and 15 — days the students originally had off before the Blizzard of 2010 struck the county.
