He will serve a total of eight years in jail and be on probation for five years after he is released.
In the solicitation case, Dick was sentenced to 10 years in jail with all but two suspended. The remaining three charges of sexual solicitation of a minor and two counts of permitting a sex subject to engage in child pornography, were dropped.
In the second case, Dick was sentenced to 10 years in jail for each of the three third-degree sex offense convictions. The jail time was suspended in two of the three convictions; four were suspended in the third. The remaining sex offense, sodomy and unnatural or perverted practice charges were dropped.
Dick will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
The acts that were the basis of the solicitation took place between January and February 2009, and the acts that were the bases for the sex offenses took place between March 2007 and April 2008.
The case was investigated by the Harford County Child Advocacy Center.
Before he was arrested, Dick had been a physical education teacher at Fallston Middle School for the past nine years, and also served as a boys JV lacrosse coach at Fallston High School.
