The burst of snow that created much havoc Saturday also put a stop to the Harford Tech Duals, which began with three rounds of action Friday.
Host Tech and Havre de Grace were the local teams competing, but it was the private school powers, Archbishop Curley and Dematha, who were declared co-champions when wrestling immediately halted. Each team had posted 3-0 records at that point, the lone unbeaten teams in the event.
Elks trim Mustangs
C. Milton Wright suffered a loss Monday night, losing to Elkton, 39-36.
Steve Sheridan, 145, Danny Garrett, 152, Matt Zito, 160, and Vince Spera, 171, each pinned for the Mustangs.
Andrew Wesdock, 103, and Eddie Lewis, 285, each collected forfeits.
Bobcats sweep tri-meet
Bel Air picked up a sweep Friday, beating North Carroll, 41-25, and Patterson Mill, 59-12. In the other match, North Carroll edged Patterson Mill, 34-33.
Picking up double wins on the day for Bel Air were, Jeff Taylor, 103; Anton Lawhon, 140; Justin Lorber, 145; Blake Calligaro, 160; Tom Kuegler, 171/189; Mike Marianetti, 189/215; and Justin Cole, 215/285.
Patterson Mill’s double winners were Zach Cullison, 112, and Jon Williams, 119.
Mariners lose twice
Joppatowne dropped two meets in four days to Cecil County foes. The Monday loss came against Perryville, 51-20, and the Friday loss was to North East, 57-18.
In Monday’s loss the Mariners earned four wins. Timmy Jones picked up the only pin at 285, while Kevin Kinyua, 130, and Guillermo Groce, 145, each earned major decisions.
Cody Printz also won by forfeit at 140.
In the Friday loss, four wins was the number again. Jared Kinyua had the lone pin at 160, while Eric Sanders won a decision at 125 and Justin Insley won a decision at 189.
David Volz also won a forfeit at 171.
Patriots drop Bruins
John Carroll picked up another win Thursday, beating Broadneck, 52-20.
Winners for the Patriots were Scott Strappelli, 112; Lance Waters, 119; Dan Froehlich, 130; Joe Vitucci, 135; Sam Chell, 140; Matt Miller, 160; Will Puhl, 171; Kyle Miele, 189; and Steve St. Clair, 215.
