GAMES & TRIVIA
BY RANDY MCROBERTS
Tuesday night proved to be more than just another playoff basketball game for the Fallston Cougars girls basketball team and junior Jess Harlee.
The Cougars, who have played to perfection through 22 games after a 59-43 win Tuesday, celebrated more than just a win on the gym floor at Bel Air High School.
Midway through the fourth quarter of the Class 3A east region quarterfinal with visiting Northeast A.A., Harlee went to the free-throw line for a pair of shots after getting fouled.
Harlee sank both free throws, giving her 18 points for the game and exactly 1,000 in her career, in this, her junior year.
Cougar teammate Rachel Holehouse led the Cougars with 19 points, while Amanda Mathis tossed in eight. The Cougars led at the half, 24-14.
The Cougars were to play Centennial on Thursday night and with a win, will host either Aberdeen or Howard on Saturday.
