The Harford County Board of Estimates recently approved a $1.5 million contract for open-end construction management services.
During the board of estimates meeting Oct. 22 in Bel Air, the board approved a $1.5 million contract with Alpha Corporation, of Baltimore; Arcadia U.S. Inc., of Columbia; and Gilbane Building Company, of Laurel, for construction management services for various water and wastewater projects on an as-required basis. The contract is for one year with an option to extend it for four additional one-year periods.
Also during the meeting, the board approved a contract for $316,374 with Greene Construction Co. LLC, of Pylesville, for construction services required to complete roads and stormwater management ponds within the Morning Brook Farms and Clayton Vista subdivisions. Morning Brook Farms is in Forest Hill and Clayton Vista is in Joppa.
The board also approved a lease with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office for a portion of the property at 132A Industry Lane in Forest Hill for $43,219.68. It is a one-year lease with one-year automatic renewals.
A contract for $14,400 per year to Fulford Commons LLC, of White Marsh, was approved during the meeting. Harford County entered a lease agreement for 30 parking spaces on county-owned property at 112 S. Hickory Ave. and 121 S. Main St. in Bel Air. It is a one-year lease with one-year automatic renewals.
A contract for $1 per year was awarded to Noah Brennan, of Street. The county entered into a lease agreement for a portion of the county-owned property at 3100 Sandy Hook Road in Street in exchange for mowing services. It is a one-year lease with one-year automatic renewals.
Following the open portion of the Oct. 22 meeting, a closed session was held to discuss small easements for road projects.
