All three area high school boys varsity soccer teams posted wins this week as the season rolls along.
Aberdeen picked up a Susquehanna win Tuesday afternoon, shutting out host Bo Manor, 2-0.
Rickie Kalama scored for Aberdeen in the first half, assisted by Gage Gladden, while Gladden, himself, scored in the second half, off the assist from Alex Brainard.
David Claycomb earned the shutout in goal with five saves.
Warriors nip Cobras
Host Havre de Grace nipped Harford Tech, 3-2, Tuesday night in a Susquehanna Division contest.
Tech scored in the fourth minute of play when Mark Leyhe scored on a 20-yard shot off an assist from Shawn Thomas.
Havre de Grace tied the score 22 minutes later on Brendan Haffey’s goal. The score went to the half tied, 1-1.
The Warriors took their first lead just two minutes into the second half, when Eric Lynch dished the assist to Grant McFarland.
It didn’t take long for Tech to tie it back up, as Demeir Wilches put in a shot, just two minutes later, with the assist to Zac Lazarus.
Havre de Grace went back ahead for good on McFarland’s unassisted goal.
Warrior goalie Ryan Chojnowski made five saves in the win, while Tech keeper Dan Ashburn also made five saves.
Panthers smash Mariners
Perryville rolled to a Susquehanna win Tuesday night, beating host Joppatowne, 10-1.
Scoring for Perryville were Zach Nesbitt, Charles Creswell (3), Cody Richardson, Alex Vines, Troy Dubree, Armando Ercole (2) and Josh Semenkow.
Assists came from Nesbitt, Joe Watson, Creswell, Dubree (2) and Ercole.
Eagles blank Cobras
Aberdeen beat visiting Harford Tech, 2-0, Sept. 24.
The first score for the Eagles came in the 33rd minute on a goal by Chris King off of an assist from Jason Ramsay. Aberdeen locked up the win in the 45th minute with a goal from Jahlil Gage off an assist from King.
David Bush had four saves for Aberdeen. Ashburn had 14 for Harford Tech.
Rams edge Warriors
Edgewood beat the Warriors, 2-1, Sept. 24 under the lights at James R. Harris Stadium in Havre de Grace.
Odell Morton and Zach Wolff each scored goals for the Rams. Mario LaMartina added an assist. Eric Glover had 20 saves for Edgewood.
Panthers tie Eagles
Perryville played visiting Bo Manor to a 2-2 tie on Sept. 24.
Perryville goals were scored by Creswell and Dubree with Dubree and Vines notching assists.
