Besides the Aberdeen vs. North Harford match-up, last week’s games looked pretty easy, but again your favorite gridiron guru was denied a perfect record. Why, you ask? Well, Edgewood decided to ditch its lets-not-score-any-points strategy and beat Harford Tech. Also, I had Aberdeen beating North Harford, and though it was close, the Hawks came out on top. So, here’s another shot at a clean sheet. Looking into my crystal football, I see:
Havre de Grace at Elkton. They haven’t done it just yet this year, but the Golden Elks always find a way to throw a wrench in my gears. They aren’t going to to it tonight though. The pick: Havre de Grace wins, 33-27.
Aberdeen at Joppatowne. The Mariners are going to hand the Eagles their second straight loss. The pick: Joppatowne wins, 35-17.
Perryville at Harford Tech. I keep picking the Cobras to win, and they keep messing me up. So, here’s what they get: Perryville wins, 21-19.
Patterson Mill at Bo Manor. The Huskies’ passing game will deliver them their fourth victory. The pick: Huskies win, 21-17.
Edgewood at North East. The Rams finally showed up last Friday, and this week’s game will be a good one in which to work out their offensive kinks. The pick: Edgewood wins, 28-6.
Bel Air at North Harford. The Hawks proved last week that they’re probably the best team in the conference not named Joppatowne, and the Bobcats ought not give them a whole lot of trouble. The pick: Hawks win, 28-12.
C. Milton Wright at Fallston. I believe the Cougars are going to break the 40-point barrier for the third time against the hapless Mustangs. The pick: Cougars win, 41-7.
