A Baltimore man was indicted last month on robbery charges after allegedly robbing a woman in April.
James L. Blackwell, 25, of the 4100 block of Wilke Avenue, was indicted May 20 in Harford County Circuit Court on charges of armed robbery, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a handgun in committing a violent crime, two counts of first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
A jury trial is scheduled Sept. 2; he was released from Harford County Detention Center on $100,000 bail.
Blackwell allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint April 26 around 12:18 a.m. in the 900 block of Jamestown Court in Edgewood.
A 29-year-old woman opened her car door to get out, and a man, believed by police to be Blackwell, displaying a small handgun approached her, police said. The man pointed his gun at the woman’s abdomen and demanded she get out of the car and empty her purse. As she was emptying her purse, she saw two other men. The men took about $50, her cell phone, car keys and then ran away.
