An Abingdon woman was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma after an accident that police say was her fault.
Around 11:53 a.m. on Wednesday, two cars were driving northbound on Route 924 just south of Bonnie Avenue in Bel Air, according to Maryland State Police.
A 2006 Jeep Liberty driven by Jessica Kranz, 18, of Bel Air slowed down and was hit from behind by a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire.
The Sunfire was driven by 22-year-old Megan Kiriazoglou of Abingdon, according to Maryland State Police.
Kranz was transported to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, and Kiriazoglou was flown by Medevac to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. Kiriazoglou has since been discharged.
A traffic report from Maryland State Police indicates Kiriazoglou as the at-fault driver.
